Welcome to The Petite Cosmos.
My name is Elena and I’m a photographer, sculptor, and more recently, a painter. I grew up believing that art was a luxury and I was encouraged to indulge in this beautiful hobby in my spare time. Like many artists at a young age, many of my mentors and teachers around me could not see how to monetize art on a large enough scale to pay rent and other bills, (as if that is all a vocation is good for), so it has not been until my son was born in 2021 that I have realized the real importance of creating.
Wrapped up in that need to create (which all humans have, by the way), was a new need to have less— to live more simply. Ultimately, the need was to create a cozy life and home, full of imagination, color, and, most importantly, intention.
We may have little to no control of the things around and outside of us; but we all have control of our homes: how we move in them and what we fill them with. We all get our own little worlds to decorate, to fill, to enhance as we see fit.
